OLIVERS Passage Pant Review | Versatile & Comfortable Travel Pants For Men (Travel Trousers)

in this video we're gonna look at the Oliver's passage pants I'm Tom the founder of pack hacker and we love helping people optimize their travel experience with videos guides and reviews just like this one so if you're new here and consider subscribing to the channel let's jump right

into these versatile comfortable pants that are great for travel hitting the road and everyday where let's jump right in [Music] so when it comes to pants that are optimal for travel versatility is definitely key and the Oliver's passage pants are a great example of that in action these

pants offer a comfortable four-way stretch and our 91% Cordura grade nylon and 9% spandex the fabric is comparable with other synthetics so although there aren't really any antimicrobial properties going on the thinness of the fabric allows them to dry quite quickly and this is great at home just

give it a machine wash cold lay them flat to dry when you're on the road you can fill up a sink in your air B&B or hotel hostel wherever you are with some tepid water and some soap wash it in there lay flat to dry and you are

good to go basically they offer just enough stretch that's comfortable for activities like lounging around or activities that are maybe a little bit more athletic however there's not too much stretch and they don't drape off of you weirdly so they still look good if you're wearing like an

oxford or something it can kind of pass as chinos or slacks and you can kind of use them to dress up your outfit a little bit so the look is very versatile again ideal for travel if you're just going for that one pair of pants to bring in

your really minimalistic definitely a good choice that's my little brother and sister my brother graduated college Congrats Oliver's definitely hasn't skimped on the hardware used here either so they have self-locking YKK zippers as well as riri rivets and buttons super high quality company is pumping out some really

great stuff and we're happy to see that Oliver's hasn't skimmed here all this stuff comes together creates a really great fit and feel with just enough stretch and is also soft to the touch moving onto some of the components and features of these pants oliver's offers five pockets

two in the front two in the back these are pretty average like you see on any other pair of pants then they have a fifth security pocket on the right hand side in the front I can fit about three fingers down it so it's definitely a theft deterrent

pocket maybe you can fit like a couple bills in there you're not gonna be able to fit a phone or wallet in there it's simply just too slim just good for kind of maybe some emergency cash if your main wallet gets ripped off if you want an example

of pants that handle this security pocket really well be sure to take it a look at our review on the bluff works chinos as well as the eighty slim rivets from Western Rise they have a nice low profile zippered pocket that adds even an additional layer of security

other than that they're a pretty normal pair of pants Oliver's likes to explain them as your favorite commuter jeans on steroids and we tend to agree they basically just took a pattern for a normal pair of pants use some really high quality fabric some high quality materials to

bring it all together and you have as a result just a solid pair of pants overall these pants fit true to size they offer a fitted look without being too slim and I'm six-two I've got really long legs and usually find that a lot of pants are a

little bit too short for me however these fit just fine at the time of this review I've been wearing and testing these pants for about two months so far we haven't seen many durability issues with the pants there are a couple of loose and fraying fabrics but they're

very minor and hard to spot we've previously reviewed quite a few other pants and we hold the outlier slim dungarees as basically the gold standard of versatile pants the passage pants however come quite close to the outlier slim dungarees they pick up dirt a little bit faster and

odor a little bit faster than we've noticed with these slim dungarees however we're always gonna nitpick and overall they're a very solid pair of pants alright so to wrap this up with some pros and cons the passage pants are a lightweight soft and have just the right amount

of stretch there are high quality materials used throughout and we imagine the durability holding up quite well in the future they're very versatile you have a professional look with a casual feel onto some of the cons v secure carry pocket can be hard to utilize the fabric can

pick up dirt a tad quicker than expected and there are a couple of loose threads after about a month of wear overall we're impressed with the comfort versatility and look that the Oliver's passage pants provide if you want to have one pair of go-to pants that you can

use in almost any occasion these are a solid choice for travel everyday wear or otherwise thanks for taking a look at our review on the Oliver's passage pants if you're interested in optimizing your wardrobe be sure to go take a look at our merino wool guide one of

nature's best antimicrobial fabrics that it has to offer so be sure to go check that guide out we have a lot of info there including info on the convoy tea from Oliver's as well which is made out of merino wool we'll see you the next video [Music]
